Authentic Roots creatively addresses the challenges faced within the Early Childhood Development (ECD) and underfunded school space. Our integrated learning resources inspire and teach learners how to grow food from seed, and our food garden programme educates ECD centres and schools on sustainable food gardening practices.

Products

The children's storybook collection ranges from plantable storybooks to storybooks with seed packs. They are educational and teaches children how to grow food from seed. The storybooks are filled with fun interactive activities, are handmade using recycled paper, and have non-GMO lettuce and tomato seeds embedded in the front and back covers.

Our bespoke gift range is eco & animal-friendly ranging from stylish journals to toiletry bags - all created using new-age pineapple leather, tote bags made from recycled plastic PET bottles, and earth-friendly cotton totes and eye pillows. Our eco-gin sets are 100% biodegradable.

All our products are produced locally, providing an income to local artisans and skilled unemployed community members.
